When it comes to metal surfaces, special surface treatment is often necessary to achieve the desired optimum properties. The coating method utilized can vary depending on the specific application. Here at Unispares India, we employ a variety of surface coating techniques. For instance, Electroplating/Galvanizing is the most commonly used method for surface coating, suitable for various applications. During this process, a coating is created by electro-deposition of zinc onto steel sheets and strips. The operation is continuous, and the coating thickness is minimal.

• Blue - Blue Zinc is also called clear passivate or silver zinc. Blue chromates provide 48 hours of protection against white corrosion.
• Yellow - Yellow Zinc Plating refers to the color of the chromate that is applied after zinc gets deposited on the surface. Yellow Chromate actually protects from corroding.
• Black - Black zinc plating is the color chromate that is applied after the plating process. It includes a layer of zinc on the surface by black chromate.

Chrome VI free
It’s essential to note that the thickness of the passivating layer greatly affects the ability of the chromate layer to protect zinc from corrosion. For zinc iron, we use Chrome VI free, which helps to increase surface strength and meets the higher corrosion standards required by the automotive industry. Powder coating is a dry finishing process. The coating material is mainly made up of finely grounded particles of resin and pigment for color, along with additives for a specific function like providing gloss finishing or hardness.
